The Golden Glows
Calling The Golden Glows nostalgic would be silly: most of the music they’re bringing is older than its musicians by a couple of decades. This three-person ensemble (plus one guitar) explores the entire vocal harmonic spectrum of forgotten radio hits, torch songs, early jazz, country blues, prison songs, gospel and folk traditionals with visible joy and enthusiasm.
Startling in its simplicity, these songs serve us as a reminder of music at its purest. A few voices and a 6-stringed instrument are all it takes to transport us through time. Because sometimes the best ideas are also old ones.
